WoMENTA Launched across Norfolk & Suffolk

A new initiative supporting female entrepreneurship across Norfolk and Suffolk has been launched at events in Felixstowe and Norwich. On Monday September 5, @Inc in Felixstowe, female business owners shared their experience and advice to the audience of guests from across East Suffolk, a similar event was then held on Tuesday September 6 in Norwich



 

The new female focused business support is tailored to women, who are considering moving to self-employment, and works to their timeline: 

 

Michelle Pratt is the project lead for WoMENTA and said “We are offering a blended approach with this package, a clever mix of coaching, which is delivered by leading business entrepreneurs, 1:1 advice, events and bespoke training”

 

MENTA Business support have been operating for more than thirty years across Norfolk and Suffolk and John Neild, chief operating office for MENTA said “The programme offers a fresh approach to that transition to self-employment that many of our clients have said they want to achieve as well as delivering new business start-up plans, coupled with an unrivalled series of sales, marketing and digital skills support that the MENTA team deliver”

MENTA have received the financial support from NatWest Business, Gaynor Read, is lead enterprise manager for NatWest and said – "The NatWest business team are thrilled to be supporting these events and training and working with the MENTA team. We have kicked the programme of support off with some great business conversations, meeting women on differing stages of new business development and I think we have all been impressed by the diversity of business planning and early successes that many attending were able to share with the groups”.

Tuesday 20th September – 9am – 1pm

Monday 10th October – 9am – 1pm

These sessions will take place virtually via Zoom. Join us for an interactive session where we’ll help you to draft or update your business plan, undertake market research and understand key considerations including which legal structure is best for your business and what insurances you need to consider and much more!
