Do you live in Suffolk or Norfolk? Do you dream of starting your own business? Do you want to Start Right, but can’t afford the expensive training fees?

If you answered yes to the above, look no further. MENTA are providing you with the Start Right programme, usually costing around £600, for free. If you’ve been bitten by the business bug, let MENTA make your 2018 Start Rightwith their business advice.

What is the Start Right programme?

Now in its second year, the Start Right programme is a course comprising of three workshops: Start Right, Marketing and Bookkeeping and Self-Assessment. Our experienced tutors provide the tools you need to succeed in your journey to self-employment. Each workshop is filled with bright, enthusiastic individuals who are all in the same pre-start business boat as you, so the atmosphere is supportive, inspiring and fun.

How does it work?

You have four locations to choose from: Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Beccles and Diss. The course is run once a month, from 9:30am – 1:30pm in each location, apart from Diss and Beccles which is every two months. We ask that you attend the Start Right workshop first as the course is linear. The three workshops run for four hours each. All we ask you bring is some lunch (if you think you’ll be peckish), an enterprising idea and yourself – we’ll provide the biscuits, beverages and business advice. Book yourself on here.

This seems too good, what’s the catch?

The Start Right programme is funded by the European Regional Development Fund, and as MENTA is a not-for-profit enterprise, we ask for nothing other than your time and attendance of all three workshops. (You’ll want to complete the course anyway, because as a “graduate” you will be entitled to a free MENTA Masterclass.) You must have a Suffolk or Norfolk postcode, be in a pre-start or ‘test-trading’ stage and be over 18. Tick those boxes and you’re in.
