Our Approach

Our support is tailored to the individual and recognises that every young person’s journey is different. We help young people build confidence, develop employability and life skills, improve financial capability and money management, and gain the practical skills needed to move towards sustainable employment, apprenticeships, further education or self-employment.

Working closely with employers, education providers, Jobcentre Plus, Youth Justice Services, Probation, local authorities and voluntary sector partners, we create real opportunities through work placements, volunteering, mentoring and direct links to employment. Our approach helps young people gain valuable workplace experience, understand employer expectations and develop the confidence needed to succeed in the workplace.

By providing holistic, person-centred support, MENTA helps young people overcome barriers and build the confidence to achieve their full potential.

Festival of Careers

The Festival of Careers is MENTAs flagship annual careers festival of which first launched in 2025 in partnership with East Suffolk Council and East Coast College with the aim to support young people in exploring future opportunities across a wide range of industries. By bringing together local and national employers, education providers, and industry professionals, the event showcased career pathways, apprenticeships, and further education routes through interactive stands, live demonstrations, and engaging talks. It provided an informative and engaging environment where students could connect directly with employers, gain insight into different sectors, and better understand the skills required for various roles, ultimately helping them build awareness, confidence, and clarity around their future career options while fostering meaningful links between education and industry.

Clarity 4D Personality Profiling

Clarity4D provide personality profiles designed to improve people’s understanding of different personality types and their respective communication preferences.

Our Youth and New Direction Profiles enables young people to develop a greater understanding of their individual strengths, communication preferences and areas for development. The profile provides valuable insight into how they learn, work with others and respond to different situations, helping them to build self-awareness, resilience and confidence. Combined with tailored mentoring and practical support, this empowers young people to make informed decisions about their future, improve their employability, strengthen workplace relationships and create realistic, sustainable pathways into employment, education, training or self-employment, enabling them to build brighter futures and make a positive contribution to their communities.

Enterprise Sessions

MENTA’s bespoke Enterprise and Skills Sessions are designed to inspire, engage and empower young individuals by introducing them to the opportunities that self-employment, innovation and business ownership can offer.

Our bespoke sessions can be tailored to your organisation setting and individuals, from Enterprise sessions in schools and youth groups to Skills set up in Prisons and Probation settings.
