Support to Make Your Business, Products, or Services Low-Carbon

New support for Suffolk based business as ENE will help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and  organisations, as well as communities across the county to rapidly decarbonise by understanding and removing the barriers which prevent decarbonisation and a zero-carbon economy. ENE is a support programme focusing on actions to promote low carbon economy. The £10.2 million project is lead by the University of East London (UEL), and part funded by the European Regional Development Fund. The programme involves 20 partners across the region including, universities, local authorities’ and organisations specialising in low carbon services. Suffolk County Council are delighted to be one of the partners in this programme. Read more

Some of the support provided through the project includes, but is not limited to:

  • Identifying opportunities to reduce carbon emissions
  • Reducing energy or resource demand
  • Improving energy efficiency
  • Identifying potential renewable energy or smart energy systems
  • Developing policies and measures to decarbonise including suggesting ways of achieving Net-Zero, Zero-Carbon or Carbon- Neutral
  • Developing new low carbon products or services
  • Identifying and reducing carbon footprints
  • Carbon lifecycle assessments, extending product lifecycles
